Merry Christmas!
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas! Fingers crossed the blizzard gets out of here by tonight and we can make it to NYC in time for our flight to London tomorrow.
Have a happy and healthy New Year!

Cookie Swap
This year I got a little excited about baking cookies and decided to have a cookie swap. I was inspired by Etsy's Hostess with the Mostess printables and went with their colorful "Cookie Swap" theme.
I made "peppermint hot chocolate" cookie jars as a take home favor which included ingredients for 3.5 dozen cookies (minus the milk and butter). I also used the Navigator office party centerpieces as a way to bring in some festive table decorations. (They are all sitting in our basement right now.)
Because we don't have more than 4 wine glasses (they break pretty easily on our granite) that match I mixed in a few martini glasses and served champagne and sparkling pomegranate juice with frozen cranberries for a holiday drink.
I also made a huge batch of peppermint bark. We have some many cookies in this house its overwhelming!
We are officially on "holiday" around here. Scott and I have gone to see 2 movies in 2 days which is somewhat of a record. I would not recommend "This is 40" it was so bad we almost walked out. The "Silver Linings Playbook" however was very good but only 1 of the 2 of us would agree with that. Its a bit dramatic.
Hope everyone has a safe and happy Christmas!

Time to Celebrate
We have had quite the weekend of holiday parties starting off with the annual Navigator Holiday Christmas Party. This year it was at Franklin Park (which I got to help plan) and was really quite gorgeous with all the poinsettias and lights around the Palm House. It is quite amazing to walk around the conservatory and see all the awesome displays, including one of all handmade gingerbread houses. Tis the Season to celebrate!

Christmas in November?
We covered a birthday, Thanksgiving and "almost" Christmas in less than 7 days this week. In addition to a trip to Fairborn for Thanksgiving we managed to put up almost all of our Christmas decorations and even get a little shopping done. (Addicted to Amazon Prime...) We realized this is the earliest we have put up decorations due to how Thanksgiving fell this year and with our trip in a few weeks over New Year's they are going to be up forever! Here are a few snapshots from the weekend. Hope everyone enjoyed the extra time off!

Thankful
Today we are thankful for many things, the most important one being Heather's 14th birthday!!
(Scott is also sporting a "Movember" look to support Men's Health initiatives this month with a little incentive from Tim and his Navigator team! )
We are also thankful for all of our friends and family and the time we have been able to spend with them this year. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!

Trick or Treat!
Trick or Treat was kind of a bust in our neighborhood due to Hurricane Sandy but we managed to make the best of it. Heather sat out this year, her first year not trick or treating, but got into the spirit and handed out candy.
Scott attempted to make a bonfire, but we ended up taking cover in the garage.
Here are a few pics from the rainy night, we still managed to eat a lot of candy, cupcakes and homemade pumpkin seeds...
...and we had a visit from Isabelle and Kelly! She was a big fan of Reese Cups. Leave it to Uncle Scott to introduce them to her :)
She was a tired but super cute princess, worn out from her Halloween Parade at school.
Hope everyone had a safe Trick or Treat Night!

Welcome to our new family blog...well at least a place where Shutterfly won't spam you and you can check in to our activities. To get updates whenever new posts are added all you have to do is subscribe below via email or just "check in" and see what is going on at Bungalow H!
Sandy blew through yesterday and its still a bit too cold to even think about Trick or Treating, but we are trying to stay in the festive spirit. This year I took a creative spin on decorating and used black and white pumpkins instead of just orange. The great part is these are "fake" and from Target so my painting will not go to waste and can be used year after year!

Stay tuned tomorrow for some Trick or Treat pics. Miss Isabelle is coming over for her 2nd official Halloween!
