Merry Christmas! I hope everyone had a happy holiday. We took our first overnight road trip with the girls and they did awesome. They actually set a sleeping record and slept until 4:45 am :) It was so nice to share the holiday with all our friends and family. Here are a few pics from the week.
Enjoy the rest of the holiday season. We are enjoying having Heather off and trying to fit in some movies and relaxing at home inbetween naps!
p.s. Hard to believe last year at this time we were on a plane to London! What a difference a year makes :)

Two Months!
I can't believe the girls are already two months old! (Technically 9 weeks this week, but we are behind on pictures). I did a quick comparison with my new collage tool...crazy how they have grown. (And still don't like posing for me at all!) Kate is on top and Savannah on the bottom.
As of Wednesday Kate weighed 10lbs 13 ounces and Savannah weighed 11lbs 2 ounces. They have doubled their size since we left the hospital and both very healthy. They also are sleeping 5-6 hours at night which is a very nice improvement! We are down to only getting up once a night.
The girls also had their first craft project (with mommy's help) and made a cookie plate for Santa and the family. We made one for cousin Isabelle too!
This is my attempt at taking a Dollar Store plate and decorating it with Sharpie markers. You then bake it in the oven and its "supposed" to stay put. We'll see after the first washing. My brain is exploding with "sharpie" projects now. I am looking forward to many more craft projects with the girls :) Of course we still have cookie dough sitting in the fridge...hopefully we will get to baking cookies before Christmas!
We are also looking forward to our first overnight road trip this coming week for the Christmas holiday and can't wait to spend Christmas day with our new little angels and the rest of our family. Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday.

Time to Decorate
It took us almost two weeks but we finally finished putting up our Christmas decor this year. Usually I exhaust myself and put it up in a day, but that didn't seem like a reasonable option this year :) Here are a few pics of the finished product. We still have a lot of unopened Christmas decor boxes downstairs, but for our first year in a new house with two newborns, this seemed like a good start.
The baby bouncy seat is now part of our decor :) We also put lights outside (front and back), but it is way too cold to go out and take pictures!
Here is a snow covered view of the back without the lights on. Hope everyone is staying warm this weekend! And GO BUCKS!! :)

Happy Happy Happy
Happy belated Thanksgiving to all our friends and family! We managed to get to Fairborn for a few hours and visited Scott's family. My mom helped us celebrate on Wednesday (as well as putting up some holiday decor, which is taking me WAY longer this year! Pictures coming soon...)
The girls enjoyed their first trip to Grandma's house. Scott and I survived as well! We were supposed to visit with the Oroszi side of the family this week also but the girls decided to time their 6 month growth spurt with the Thanksgiving holiday. Wow, what an interesting few days. We barely left the house for 3 days. (Feeding two every 1.5 to 2 hours is intense to say the least.) Thankfully everyone is coming up for a bit of air now and back to a more normal routine, whatever that is :) We have our two month shots to look forward to next!
We also celebrated Heather's 15th birthday and the OSU/Michigan game (Scott is still recovering!) Aunt Ann made Heather this awesome advent calendar for her birthday. She gets gifts for a whole month!! I am going to steal this idea next year and use it for Christmas. Its such an awesome gift.
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

One Month
We officially made it through the first month. In some ways it seems so fast and in other ways it seems like forever. Either way I can't imagine a day without these girls! In my attempt to document their first year, I started a "fabric" project where you take a picture of the baby (in our case babies) on a piece of "themed fabric" every week that represents the time of year. I started out doing weekly and quickly realized getting two infants to pose in white onesies (which meant an extra outfit change) was not realistic. (Insert Scott, "I told you so!") So we re-adjusted and are doing a co-fabric photo shoot once a month. These are the raw images. The end result will get some photo shopping with the month written on their onesie and eventually in a scrapbook.
First Week:
Four Weeks:
Savannah
Kate
As you can see, getting them to pose is not exactly easy. It is fun to see how they have grown though! We just left the doctor this a.m. and they are weighing in at 8lbs 6 ounces (Kate) and 8 lbs 11 ounces (Savannah). Crazy to think that most babies are born this size...we are just excited they are growing (although still in newborn clothes).
We have a big few weeks coming up with Heather's 15th birthday on Wednesday and then Thanksgiving next week which includes their first car ride over 20 minutes and with Gracie! We'll see how it goes.
Have a good week!!

A few firsts!
The girls are finally making their first blog debut. I have been trying really hard to keep up with pictures, baby books, documentation etc. but the days seem to fly by.
The pictures from the hospital are posted here. The girls are officially 2 weeks, 2 days old and have passed their official due date (10/30) which is very exciting! We have noticed in the past two weeks quite a few changes, including their extremely different personalities. Kate is very much a cuddle bug (Scott calls her "boo boo") as she loves to be held and curl up in a little ball next to you. Savannah on the other hand (nicknamed "scooby") loves to stretch out and climb (or attempt to) on your chest. She likes to be awake as much as possible, almost like she is afraid she is going to miss something. As of Wednesday Kate was weighing in at 5lbs 14 ounces and Savannah at 6lbs 4 ounces. We were very excited with their growth given their 10% weight loss in the hospital due my milk issues. Its so special when they are both awake and interacting with you. They have started to smile, make faces and even recognize our voices. We have slowly been integrating them downstairs with Gracie, putting them in their swings and bouncy chairs. I even attempted the baby bjorn carrier today and got to hold them both by myself while home alone. Quite an accomplishment!
This week was also a week of firsts including first holiday (Happy Halloween) and first bath! (And first formal photoshoot...we can't wait to see the formal pics, but one from our phone during the shoot is below.) The bath went well although both girls seemed pretty nervous and scared of the water at first but then realized it was relaxing. We still have yet to tackle the nail trim (I am nervous to do it) but we'll attempt that this weekend. Here are a few pics from the week. (Savannah is on the left in the formal pic, then Kate; Kate's bath pic is first, then Savannah's; Savannah is on the right in the Halloween pics)
Thanks again for everyone's support. The meals, Starbucks, donuts and help with feeding/logistics has been so helpful. We are starting to get on a little but of a schedule and for the most part our bodies are just adjusting to lack of sleep :) I made it out of the house today for my Dr's appointment and am hoping to make a short walk around our neighborhood tonight or tomorrow. The Dr put me on blood pressure medicine since its still high so we are carefully monitoring it to make sure I don't have any weird side effects. They are still trying to sort out my anemia issues but girls are doing great and I feel OK so that is all that matters!!
Have a great weekend.
