Half Way There...

...well technically 16 weeks to go in "twin" terms if we make it to 38 weeks.

22 Weeks

Wow, how we have grown!

16 Weeks

Weight Gained: I think I need to stop weighing myself!

Exercise: We unpacked our last box on Sunday (YEAH!) so I can't count stairs and boxes anymore. I have still been working on the Pregnancy Project DVD's focusing on 2-3 times a week with some walking. I really like the DVD's, it is like Pilates on steroids that hits all the right places.

Movement: We have activity! I feel Baby A much more than Baby B (at least I think I do, its hard to tell because they can still totally flip around). Lots of little bubbles and kicks, mostly around lunch time and in the middle of the night! I am excited to see how it feels when they are stronger. We go to the doctor for a belly check on the 3rd and then back to Riverside for a growth ultrasound on the 10th.

Food Cravings: Still none, although fruit and veggies are still my favorite.

Baby Purchases: We bought the paint for the nursery and went and registered. Not sure that qualifies for purchases but we are making progress! I am still not really sure how to make 2 cribs, a changing table, rocker and potential bookshelf look right in this space but stay tuned and we'll see if we figure it out. All of our friends and family have been so supportive. We have the cutest collection of onesies and pj's building. I can't wait to organize the girls' closet!!

Sleep: Not much. My back has been killing me along with my sciatic nerve. That is probably a sign that I need to slow down. Thankfully July is filled with a few vacation days and a trip to Tampa (me), California (Scott and Heather) and Hilton Head (whole family).

Mood: Anxious but trying not to be. Work has been crazy, our schedules have been nuts. Things are finally slowing down.

House: We have made HUGE progress as mentioned, but the best part is we have artwork on the wall (at least in some places). Our goal is to still paint Heather's room and the nursery this summer.

Starting to look like Home...

I finally got around to taking a few house pics today since it was nice and sunny out this a.m. I wish I could take credit for the yard work but that is all Scott these days (and some help from Heather, Matthew and Scott's Dad!) We have some plans to remove that big pine tree on the left and take out or trim the mysterious red bush below it, but it at least looks a little more under control and kept.

The deck is probably our favorite spot. We cheated this year and got some plants from my mom's nursery instead of planting our own. Next year perhaps! We still need a lot of "decorating" but at least things are starting to fall into place.  Below are a few pics of the dining room and living room.

I'd like to replace the light fixture in the dining room as well as hang a cool wine rack above the buffet, maybe with a few pictures on the wall. We'll see. I think the nursery probably takes priority of a wine rack right now :) The dining room is also Gracie's favorite spot. You can see her little head poking out on the left entrance.

The living room started out as an extra room with all of our misc. furniture but is starting to become my favorite room so far. I am trying to go with a yellow, blue and green theme and hope to get a cool Ikat rug with some wicker baskets and maybe another chair to give a little bit of a beachy feel one day.

Progress! Up next is tackling the basement. We have started but its another project all in itself.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! (a little late but at least I am keeping up with pictures these days.

Happy Father's Day!

Wishing everyone a Happy Father's Day. I am extra sentimental this year (blaming it on lots of extra hormones) but really wish my Dad were around to help us celebrate.  We kicked off the weekend with a few extra treats and my first trip to Carter's (which I need to stay away from!) We also managed to register which was a bit overwhelming. One step at a time I guess! Looking forward to spending some down time at the new house! (Which we are still unpacking...)
