6 Months

We made it, half a year!

IMG_3379 IMG_3382

In the last 3 weeks we have gotten two teeth each, learned to roll, become fascinated with any object that can fit in our mouth, grab anything we can get our hands on, mastered the excersaucer and tried out swinging and swimming. They say they are called "wonder weeks" where the babies learn so much at one time. This is also accompanied by discovering their voices and a few hours of screaming, together...yes they also have discovered their are two of them. They have now learned that whatever toy they have, their sister's is better, you shouldn't bash your sister in the head with a rattle and oh yeah, if one screams, the other one should just go ahead and join in. Of course screaming can be replaced by giggles and contagious smiles which is pretty fun! The girls have also been venturing into new territory with food, this week trying fruits (which they seem to hate) and continuing with vegetables. So far green beans and carrots are the favorite. Peas and peaches seem to be the worst.

I can never seem to get them to sit still, thankfully we had some professional pictures taken last week for 6 months so I am excited to see how those turned out. One of the proofs is below...

We have also upgraded our stroller to the "big kid seats" which feature seats where the girls can look at each other and recline. Riding in Style...I especially like the sun covers (which are folder back in the picture) and their bright pink SPF 30 hats :) Sunglasses coming soon to complete the look.

We have also been doing a lot of yard work lately getting ready for spring and summer (well Scott has!), the trees are awesome to look at from our back deck.

I wish the trees would stay like this all season!

I think this week is going to be a rainy one but hopefully the weekend will be nice and sunny again! Happy Sunday!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I am only a few days behind posting pictures as we had a nice long weekend with the family. Lots of quality snuggles, cousins and grandmas/great grandmas and aunts and uncles :) I think the girls are still recovering a bit (they are exhausted) but we are slowly getting back into our normal schedule.  And slowly stepping away from all the Easter candy.

So thankful for spring weather and a fun weekend with family!

Top Ten!

This week we had the honor of celebrating Heather's Top Ten place in Davidson's sophomore class. She is holding on strong at #2. The girls also got to spend the afternoon with Uncle Mark and Aunt Ann. It was a fun afternoon for everyone!

We got to enjoy the afternoon at the Scioto Country Club in Upper Arlington. It ended up being a gorgeous spring day.

Kate and Savnnah are still recovering from their cold and teething but we are on the mend and have been trying lots of new foods. We also have learned that LONG walks equal really good naps. Whatever works!

What a Week!

As usual I am behind in posting but what a week its been! Heather and Scott took a mini-sprink break to look at colleges in Boston. From what I can tell, Yale is a favorite, but Harvard is a close 2nd or 3rd on Heather's list with Stanford still taking the lead. Heather also has her big Top Ten celebration (for Davidson) on Wednesday, so more pictures to come!

The girls also managed to sneak in a cold, get their first tooth (well 4 total, 2 each) and had their first swim lesson. The combination of the cold and the teeth in one week were a bit intense to say the least but the distraction of swimming was pretty fun for the whole family. The Goldfish school just opened in Dublin and it was a nice warm 90 degrees. They taught us a bunch of fun songs and some lifesaving tips so we are excited to go back and work it into our schedule to get ready for summer.

Heather was our photographer and we couldn't have gotten through the class without her. We still have a few logistics to figure out before the next class!

All of the pictures (I am sure you are surprised we took at ton!) are here, including a few from around the house and Scott and Heather's trip. Scott was holding Savannah and I was holding Kate. They both seemed to love it although I think Savannah kicked a little more and Katherine giggled :)

Here's to a good week! And some warm weather! Fingers crossed we get some sleep here too. The colds seem to be on their last leg but those teeth are still pushing through...
