Over the river and through the woods....

...to Grandmother's house we go! We had a great Christmas in Fairborn this year spending time at both Grandparents house and even making and appearance at Christmas Eve church service (Savannah may have tried to eat the manager but we will leave that out! :) )

We of course took a TON of pictures but its a mix of my new lens (you can tell because they are more close up shots), the wide lens (original) and the iPhone. I am still playing around but we have some great memories to share.

Here is a fun little slideshow of the week:

Hope everyone enjoys their time off! We have a Christmas Vacation bucket list we are working through which includes sleep training, painting, new fireplace, a few movies and working out (what!).

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone had a happy holiday. We took our first overnight road trip with the girls and they did awesome. They actually set a sleeping record and slept until 4:45 am :) It was so nice to share the holiday with all our friends and family. Here are a few pics from the week.

Enjoy the rest of the holiday season. We are enjoying having Heather off and trying to fit in some movies and relaxing at home inbetween naps!

Cookie Swap

This year I got a little excited about baking cookies and decided to have a cookie swap. I was inspired by Etsy's Hostess with the Mostess printables and went with their colorful "Cookie Swap" theme.

I made "peppermint hot chocolate" cookie jars as a take home favor which included ingredients for 3.5 dozen cookies (minus the milk and butter). I also used the Navigator office party centerpieces as a way to bring in some festive table decorations. (They are all sitting in our basement right now.)

Because we don't have more than 4 wine glasses (they break pretty easily on our granite) that match I mixed in a few martini glasses and served champagne and sparkling pomegranate juice with frozen cranberries for a holiday drink.

I also made a huge batch of peppermint bark. We have some many cookies in this house its overwhelming!

We are officially on "holiday" around here. Scott and I have gone to see 2 movies in 2 days which is somewhat of a record. I would not recommend "This is 40" it was so bad we almost walked out. The "Silver Linings Playbook" however was very good but only 1 of the 2 of us would agree with that. Its a bit dramatic.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy Christmas!

Time to Celebrate

We have had quite the weekend of holiday parties starting off with the annual Navigator Holiday Christmas Party. This year it was at Franklin Park (which I got to help plan) and was really quite gorgeous with all the poinsettias and lights around the Palm House.  It is quite amazing to walk around the conservatory and see all the awesome displays, including one of all handmade gingerbread houses.  Tis the Season to celebrate!

Christmas in November?

We covered a birthday, Thanksgiving and "almost" Christmas in less than 7 days this week. In addition to a trip to Fairborn for Thanksgiving we managed to put up almost all of our Christmas decorations and even get a little shopping done.  (Addicted to Amazon Prime...)  We realized this is the earliest we have put up decorations due to how Thanksgiving fell this year and with our trip in a few weeks over New Year's they are going to be up forever! Here are a few snapshots from the weekend. Hope everyone enjoyed the extra time off!
