Spring Please?!?

Well we thought the snow was behind us but today we are getting another 4-6 inches. UGH. I decided regardless of the weather it was time to finish our family room and spruce it up with some spring decor. (Plus the baby gear was taking over!) Our goal was to finish the downstairs of the house before the girls were born, which we did for the most part, but we put some final touches in the family room this week (Thank goodness for Amazon Prime and Pottery Barn free delivery!) We ended up with a new rug and some pillows, along with a mantel refresh. The goal later this spring is to tackle new countertops and a backsplash in the kitchen. Oh yeah, and the girls got two new high chairs. Very chic :) We are hoping to try some cereal this afternoon...AH!



 

I need to learn to take better indoor pictures, these are so dark! At least you get the idea. I love the little owl pillow on the couch. We also managed to snap a few shots of the girls, marking the 4 month mark. (I was only two weeks over this time!)



 

Its been a little hectic in this house since I have been back to work. It's probably the hardest transition I haver ever made and I am guessing Scott might say the same. I feel so lucky the girls are home with their Dad and I am told it gets easier so we shall see! I definitely cherish the weekends more than I ever had!

I heart February

Wow, where has the month gone! I am behind in pictures once again but here are a few favorites from this month!

Heather had her winter formal and went with her good friend Kensie.



 



 

 

The girls posed for a few Valentine's pics...the outtakes are pretty funny :) They also turned 4 months. (I hope to get those pictures this weekend!)



 

And I had a birthday, the girls signed their first card and Heather even made me one for me. Scott got me a juicer and a Fit Bit so I am looking forward to playing with my new toys this weekend. (They had their own little party as you can see below!)



 

We are definitely looking forward to some warm weather so we can break that stroller out and start going on some runs (and not in the basement!)

Thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes! Heather is playing in a big tennis tournament this weekend, so fingers crossed she does well!


 

3 Months, Almost 4!

I am so late on this post, it is almost time for the girls 4 month pics! Regardless, they continue to grow and are laughing and smiling up a storm.



Kate's favorite pastime is screaming, well more like screaching. For the most part its funny except for when it startles Savannah. Savannah's favorite pastime is practice her spanish, well really just rolling her "r's". Up until 2 months Kate was the quiet cuddly one and Savannah was more animated. They have completely switched roles in the last week and now Savannah is more quiet. I am not sure they have changed all that much in terms of their features but I think they have a few less fat roles and are a big longer. They also appear to be losing more hair. It is definitely much lighter. They both love playing with "George" (their prospective binkies) and "Pinkie" the pink bug with rattles hanging off it.

Its also been a big week at the Haynes house as I am back to work full time (cue tears). Its probably the hardest thing I have ever done. We are praying for a snow day tomorrow.
