Happy Father's Day!

Wishing everyone a Happy Father's Day. I am extra sentimental this year (blaming it on lots of extra hormones) but really wish my Dad were around to help us celebrate.  We kicked off the weekend with a few extra treats and my first trip to Carter's (which I need to stay away from!) We also managed to register which was a bit overwhelming. One step at a time I guess! Looking forward to spending some down time at the new house! (Which we are still unpacking...)

19 Weeks!

In the midst of moving chaos I have been trying to keep up with taking pictures for the baby books. (I still am on the fence about how to replicate one book into two for when they are older but I guess I have some time to figure that out.)

We had a great week this week and were able to spend almost 90 minutes with both babies on Wednesday during our anatomy ultrascreen. Baby A is 9 ounces and Baby B is 10. The doctor said I had the "perfect" twin pregnancy so far which I am holding on to because they last two days I have felt super emotional, tired and really sore. (I am guessing that is from unpacking!) He also confirmed (99.9%) that they are BOTH girls. I am no doctor but we had a pretty clear shot for both of them.

Heather graciously played photographer today and we took a few early Father's Day pics in our backyard. Good use of a chalkboard especially when I can't figure out where to hang it! It took us a few tries but we got a few cute ones.

Ignore the feet. My ankles seem to disappear by noon these days...no matter what shoes I wear.

PREGNANCY THOUGHTS:

Weight Gained: 18lbs. We are definitely on an up swing. I have very mixed feelings about this. I just keep thinking there are two and eating my vegetables! I did have one weak moment this week and didn't pack any snacks and had to make a last minute Target trip on my way home from work. I was the pregnant lady eating a pop tart in the checkout line. Opps. Pretty sure I haven't had a pop tart for years. We are not making it a habit.

Exercise: Does carrying boxes up and down double flights of stairs count? I am hoping this week I can get back on the workout wagon. I am on month 5 of the Pregnancy Project and at least got some arms in this week.

Symptoms: Fat ankles (which I HATE!), and back aches. Other than that I feel pretty normal.

Movement: Still not feeling anything :( Every time we see the twins they are practically doing backflips. They even completely switched positions and now are laying head to butt.

Food Cravings: None. I have been trying to eat more protein. Veggies and fruit still taste the best to me. I could eat strawberries and peaches all day long.

Looking Forward To: Registering and oddly going to the pool. I have pool brain. Its all I can think about. Must get those boxes unpacked!

New Baby Items: None purchased. Kelly gave us some super cute onsies and pink bear blankets.

We continue to make progress on the new house and are enjoying finding new places for all of our things. Thanks for all the support these past few weeks. We are so excited to be in our new home and now planning for the girls!

48 Hours

...Well technically 72 if you count today but what a whirlwind it has been since Thursday! Our move started last Thursday with the packing of all of our boxes into a lovely Uhaul. (Long story on that process but you can blame our realtor who most likely would have been fired if we weren't on a timeline, thankfully it ended up working out!)

We then started the formal move this past Thursday where we thought we were going to save some time/work with a moving company. That unfortunately was not the case (which again is another long story) but if you can imagine two movers getting fired and taken away in a taxi along with a huge hole in our wall and a broken light that should sum it up.  Scott, Ann, Matthew, Heather and my mom ended up doing a ton of work. I tried to lift as much as a I could but by about 2pm I no longer had ankles.

We were just excited to get to the new house! With that said, the unpacking has begun, I am so thankful for everyone that helped us. Our goal this weekend was to get the Great Room, Kitchen and Pantry done before I go back to work and Heather starts summer school. We have by far exceed expectations. (Granted Scott and I have barely stopped but I think yesterday was our breaking point and we ended up watching HGTV and eating pizza!)

Here are a few pics of the back rooms. The rest of the house is full of boxes, so this makes me think we have made progress!

Not perfect, but coming along! My absolute favorite part of the house is the wall of windows and the back yard. I catch myself just starring outside at the privacy and all the trees. I can't wait to get some flowers out there!

Our goal for the summer is to finish unpacking (hopefully in the next few weeks), new appliances (coming Tuesday!) and then onto painting the twins and Heather's room! My brain is overflowing with ideas, my body is telling me to slow down. So I am working on the baby book today and catching up work! The pic below is from 17 weeks, I will be 19 on Wednesday. We have our big anatomy ultrasound also on Wednesday so we are excited to see the babies and how they have grown. A big week for sure!

Hope you had a great weekend! Thanks again to all those who helped us. I am so overwhelmed with excitement these days I practically jump out of bed! Can't wait for everyone to see our new digs.
